Let your little artist shine! Each week we'll explore fun and focused projects and play in the clay - all led by experienced educators. Learn new techniques, make new friends and flex those creative muscles! Projects may include zombie seed bombs, planters, animal masks, totems, cupcakes, boxes and more. A creative mind is a strong mind! Each week, visiting artists will stop by to share their love of art making. We'll also tour the gallery and studio and show everyone the behind the scenes action.

All camp participants will get to use the wheel with the aid of our hands on instructors - we limit camp to 18 participants with 2-4 instructors per day depending on activity level and class size. All camps include time for a snack break - being creative is hard work - we do have some backup snacks but we ask that each child bring a snack where possible to prevent sharing/allergy issues. We do have an intake form for allergies, preferences, emergency contacts, etc. We will send you a link to fill this out once you register for camp.

All the Details! Our half day camp runs from 9am to 12noon. Need to drop off early? Doors open at 8:45am - if you need to arrange that for an earlier time, just let us know. Have more than one mini? Call us to get a 10% discount on sibling registrations - we'll give you a coupon code to use online. Need to cancel a registration? Cancellations made seven (7) days in advance will receive a 75% refund. Sorry, no refunds for cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the start of camp. You can re-schedule to a later session, provided there's room.

If you would like to sign up, please visit our Camp Registration page. The link for registration will open in February. Or call us at 404-377-8033 and/or email us here.

Hand-building

Campers will work with their instructors to create imaginative projects utilizing color, texture, and design. Projects will take 1-3 weeks on average to be picked up after firing. Weather and a damp summer makes for longer turnaround times. We do our best to send kids home with something when we can. Our instructors normally spend their time working in clay themselves and also teaching adults at our studio.

Glazing

Most projects will be glazed using underglaze and clear glaze. Occasionally we will paint a project with craft paint on the last day if we have been able to fire during the week. Most items will be functional if your child made them with that intent in mind.

Throwing

For wheel days - generally Tuesday and Wednesday - please dress to come home dirty - some parents include a change of clothing to ride back in the car or send kids with a towel or apron.
