MudFire studio membership is for everyone...inquisitive beginners, off and on hobbyists, and experienced artists. Your membership is an all-access pass to all of the tools, equipment, glazes, firings, and even the occasional snack!

Lessons are available to studio members anytime, without scheduling. Just come on in!

Membership packages are priced very reasonably and are economical compared to typical studio and class fees. We offer annual and monthly memberships to suit your needs.

If you are a beginner looking to give clay a try, MudFire offers two options. First, consider a trial month of studio membership. This will give you plenty of time to experiment with wheel and handbuilding, to test different glazes, and develop basic skills. Making pottery is not an instant gratification thing, it's a weeks-long process even for one piece.

Another option is to setup a group event with friends.

Membership applications are now being accepted and we are limiting the number of members to keep studio operations manageable and make sure you don't have to wait for equipment.

Can't do a whole month?

MudFire offers a monthly membership instead of single session rates because every piece you make will go through several steps and take weeks to complete. With studio membership, you'll have your own personal storage areas onsite to store your clay and work-in-progress between visits.

Private lessons at an artists studio normally cost $40-$60 per hour. At MudFire, you can come any time you like, several times a week, without worrying about scheduling. If you only make it in once a week for just three hours of lessons or studio use, your cost per hour is a little over $12 an hour. A bargain! Of course, if you use the studio several times a week, you're getting an even better deal!
