Holiday Studio Show 2007

MudFire Gallery proudly presents the mother of all pottery shows this Fall, featuring work of over 100 potters and clay artists from Atlanta and the Southeast.

Starting on Friday after Thanksgiving, the gallery will be brimming with a lavish selection of unique, handmade, artful pottery at reasonable prices. Doors to the sale open on Friday, November 23 at noon.

Special holiday gallery hours for the duration of the show are noon until 8 p.m. daily except Wednesdays. The show closes at 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2007.

A holiday party and artist reception will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

About the Show

Few galleries are as dedicated to a single medium as MudFire. Now in its sixth year, MudFire represents nationally acclaimed clay artists such as Liz Zlot Summerfield, Lisa Orr, Michael Hunt, Naomi Dalglish, Kyle Carpenter, and Lois Ruben Aronow. Local artists including Vernon Smith, Deanna Ranlett, Barry Gregg, Chris Baumann and Stacey Stanhope round out an artist roster that comprises an exceptional collection of contemporary clay.

Housed in a renovated warehouse near downtown Decatur, the sunlit gallery stands out as Atlanta's showcase of unique and affordable pottery. For the Holiday Show, MudFire is bringing in a large selection of new work by each of the represented artists as well as juried pottery by our very own fantastically talented MudFire studio members. Work by several guest artists from around the country will also be presented.

The show will be restocked daily with new work fresh from the onsite kilns. The list of works includes (but is certainly not limited to) cups, goblets, tureens, casseroles, mugs, bottles, bowls, pitchers, vases, ornaments, Judaica, plates, tiles, platters, dogs in boats, salt & peppers, soap dishes, butter dishes, and fish! There is something for everyone with a discerning taste for quality craft and a desire to present their friends and family with a special gift this holiday season.
