Cristina Pellechio

Cristina Pellechio

Cristina Pellechio is a full-time studio artist living and working in Waterbury Center, Vermont. Her work been explores the relationship between the simple silhouette of a circle and its link to the interior. She emphasizes surface design through the use of multiple facets and color with a strong emphasis on detail. Many of her pieces use the patterned recurrence of dots and circles. For Cristina, opportunities to conjoin an outer boundary perimeter with its interior are limitless, framing the nuances of this exploration.

Cristina Pellechio Artist Statement

The process of creating art is both mysterious and familiar. Each piece evolves and unfolds according to its own plan and I often feel like I am along for the ride. Yet, my interpretation and vision of the natural world is strongly represented in each work. Through the use of repetitive patterns, lush color and surface design I strive to replicate the detail, serenity, and magnificence of the physical environments I live in.
