An invitational group show featuring thirteen artists who embellish surface with direct illustrations and decal-based image transfer.

Free and open to the public, presented as a community service.

July 24-25-26 - Workshop, 10am - 5pm each day

Three day hands-on sculpture workshop, making and using molds to generate parts for assembled sculptural works in clay.

Three day hands-on workshop, learning Nancy's techniques for handbuilding with foam armatures, and adding text and imagery with printing techniques.

Mug*Shots, a huge group show exlusively featuring mugs and wee cups for sake or shooters. 80 artists!

August 13-14-15 - Workshop, 10am - 5pm each day

Three day hands-on sculpture workshop, building personally relevant figure sculptures incorporating humor and whimsy.

Kyle Carpenter curates this deep look at the portfolios of four Asheville potters, including as always Mr. Carpenter himself.

October 16-18 - Workshop, 10am - 5pm each day
Paul Andrew Wandless
A three day hands-on class addressing many techniques for transferring imagery to clay including screen printing, mono printing, embossing, relief, stencils, and more.

Free and open to the public, presented as a community service.

October 23-25 - Workshop, 10am - 5pm each day
Bonnie Seeman
A three day hands-on class for throwing parts to combine with handbuilding and sculpture techniques for creating functional pottery and sculptural vessels. Throwing time is limited with the major focus on handbuilding and sculpture techniques.

November 27 - Holiday Studio Sale Starts
Holiday Studio Sale 2009
A huge sale of pottery and sculpture by over 100 artists, just in time for the holiday shopping season. Sale runs through December 23rd.

December 5- Holiday Party and Artist Reception, 5pm - 9pm

Our annual holiday party and a chance to meet the artists of MudFire as we celebrate another year in clay!

December 22 at 10 pm - MudFire Closes for Holiday Break
The gallery and studio will be closed for seasonal rejuvenation, reopening Friday January 2.
