July 11-Aug.1
Reception Saturday, July 11 from 5-9 pm.

I enjoy making objects that can rescue one from the monotony of everyday activity. As I pay homage to the ordinary, I embrace the subtleties, simple as well as specific. My intention is to be a catalyst, allowing people to become engaged with the objects and aware of the moment.
I habitually reference the house as a metaphor, considering ideas surrounding the comforts of home, activities within the domestic realm and the significant distinctions between the interior and the exterior of this particular structure.
I am also motivated by the sense of naïveté and the sensations of wonder and discovery that come with my impression of what childhood was, is and should be.
My work is a culmination of traditional craft methods, industrial processes, modern design and unconventional fabrication in attempt to be a part of a contemporary conversation.
